FBI — Federal Agents Arrest Man After He Attempts to Bomb Bank in Oakland

The FBI planned the attack, provided the suspect, provided the explosive device, provided the funding, and provided the transportation. Then took credit for stopping it.

I'm patiently waiting for the "well the device was designed to not go off."

That's not the point. The point is they provided a threat, convinced a mentally ill person to carry it out and provided the resources and funding to do so, putting American lives in danger. Where does the madness stop?

There hasn't been a single terrorist threat in this country since 2001 that wasn't orchestrated and funded by the government.

So you're blaming the government for what someone else carries out? Interesting. The person always has the option of saying no.

Good point, that's why they chose the candidate less likely to say "no". I'm blaming the government for planning and providing.

Good for them. You might want to read that press release again.

I've read it twice. Mind telling me what part of it was good?

I have to ask, did you even read your own link? Point out where it says he was mentally ill. Although let's face it, there's gotta be a certain level of mental illness going on for anyone to follow thru w/a terrorist attack. Perhaps you should read it. The guy was pretty involved in everything. Not really the mark of a "woe is me, I'm the victim" candidate.

Llaneza met with a man who led him to believe he was connected with the Taliban and the mujahidin in Afghanistan. In reality, this man was an undercover FBI agent. At this initial meeting, Llaneza proposed conducting a car-bomb attack against a bank in the San Francisco Bay Area.

THAT'S why it's good the FBI stopped this guy.

They created the suspect! They stopped him after they presented the idea!

What, and be labeled a terrorist?

You can't just say "no".

I mean, who do people think they are, anyway?

When your country calls . . .

You do or die.
