Shultz is an avid gun enthusiast. Many democrats are as well, however think sane gun laws, like not allowing the mentally ill and criminals to have guns is a good idea. The right wingers on the other hand think they should have access to them, no questions asked.

There is no background check for private sales. Any mental case or thug fresh out of the penn can walk into a gun show or go to a private seller and buy guns with no questions asked.

This is true. But when I was for closing the BGC even though it would be a hassle for me at times, but it was for the good of all, I then watched as the left went crazy as bat crap putting out ban semi autos, ban high cap mags ect. So I have went from I can work with that, to You Fing idiots, you now run with the ball to try to take it all? I will now join back up with the NRA and give you nothing. I will fight to give not one inch. You will have to die on this hill with me [in elections] to get one more law passed.
Screw any liberal now on gun issues. I still stand with liberals on Social Security and Medicare and want a national health care system, but I will now go back to voting on gun issues. If this is the crap we get I will vote against politicians who support abortion and gay marriage and other issues I supported if the other politician is for guns. If other words, I am voting on the gun issue alone. We will see if 14 can be a 94 again. Screw all you liberals who said we don't want your guns, we only want our freedom to choose an abortion, or to marry who we want. When I supported your rights now you come for mine? Screw all of you.

Another right, turned into a privilege.
With 3d printers now coming on line that work in several mediums and even now companys make AR lowers out of poly. Plum Crazy makes them and they work fine. I think its going to be near impossible to keep people from guns. Its already easy t get things you are not supposed to have. Suppressors are easy to make or adapt, guns are easily made full auto. not many people know the SKS has all the parts in it to make it full auto. Its a minor adjustment to make it full. If you really want to break the law you can. Its not that hard. Criminals will do what criminals do.

There is absoutly nothing coming from the president to ban assault rifles or high capacity magazines. If he wanted to do that, he would have a long time ago.

It would significantly reduce crime. The vast majority of guns used in crimes were purchased legally. It's just a common sense plan to have a background check for anyone to buy a gun.
It makes no sense with the current laws that a group of gangbangers or terrorists could walk into a gun show, and load up on weapons with no questions asked.
