Because it's a law against a legislative body doing what legislative bodies do--proposing legislation. Legislatures represent the people in proposing and passing laws that are intended to benefit the people. Obviously, not all such proposals are of benefit to everyone, but it is of benefit to discuss such proposals. This idiot representative is proposing to stop all discussion. Which negates the purpose of legislatures. That's why we have debates on the floors of legislatures. To determine if a piece of legislation is good or not.

I hope we see a lot more of this....so as to bring the diseased mindset of the gun obsessed more and more into the light of day for all to see. There more they speak up, the easier it will be to establish a consensus agreeing that they must be marginalized and ignored.

I'm in my 60s....and I must confess that I have lived the majority of my life never fully understanding the extent - the cavernous depth - of stupidity in this country. This new phase in the gun debate is educational in ways one can't help but wish it wasn't.
