If she doesn't mean it, why did she say it in the first place? If she said this publicly on the Larry King show, needn't they only obtain permission from the makers of Larry King show?

I would think so, but even though I'm no fan of hers and am strongly pro-gay marriage, I would still remove her from the ad if she asked me to do so.

Just like Romney, her previous statements will come back to haunt her.
I'm liberal and pro-gay rights... I feel they should respect her wishes and take her out of the ad. Main reason out of respect for serving admirably as first lady. She represented the country with class which wasn't easy during a presidency that will go down as one of the worst in US history.
Ironically, I saw the print ad version yesterday and even raised an eyebrow. I couldn't help to think she was taken out of context when I read it.
There was another TV appearance where she was asked the question about same sex marriage. Her answer then was merely: "I believe that WILL be a reality in this country", something like that. She didn't actually answer the question emphatically, but only said that it would be a reality in this country. She doesn't appear to be showboating the issue.
Yes, if she recants, then edit the ad to take her out.
