I am making my argument based on what I read in CD. A lot of people complaining about food stamps out there.

A friend of mine has devoted almost his entire backyard to growing food. I went over to visit and he gave me a tomato right off the vine - it was the best tomato I've ever tasted.

I say there is tremendous benefit in teaching young people, and especially those growing up far from real farms, what real food tastes like and that they needn't be dependent on anyone for quality fruits and vegetables.
There is a way of life past generations lost hold of when refrigeration and canned foods came along that is worth reviving.
