This FOIA request would indicate that Obama was adopted or was in legal custody of someone else, possibly Madelyn and Stanley Obama, his grandparents after Obama returned from Indonesia alone in December of 1970. Obama's mother and step-father Lolo Soetoro listed a Hawai'i apartment address on their returns prepared for them. Stanley Ann Dunham as a student would have certainly listed her son as a dependent due to their money situation. She didn't though. She only listed her daughter Maya as a dependent. Someone or some agency was Obama’s legal guardian after January of 1971 that was not his supposed parents - that has to be accepted as fact. So who was Obama’s legal guardian as of January 1972?
