Sports Illustrated Names Obama One of the 50 Most Powerful People…in Sports | TheBlaze.com

Some of you try to deny that there is this creepy cult of personality that has surrounded Obama wince 2008. Well, I submit more evidence. The guy is a pop star, with a creepy following, a fawning media and Hollywood who cant get enough of him.

And now he is named by SI as one of the most powerful people.....in sports?!?! Huh? Last I checked, he never played professional sports, and not at the college level. He has publicly made a fool of himself trying to throw a baseball. He made a fool of himself trying to name some baseball players of his "favorite" team.

So he shoots hoops occasionally and golfs from time to time.

No other reason except the creepy idol like worship can explain this. Ive never seen anything like what we've seen surrounding this man since 2008. We dont have a President, we have a pop star

FYI, that list has ZERO current college or pro athletes. Plenty on the list have never played sports beyond the youth level. Its a list of the 50 most powerful owners, CEOs, agents, network heads, etc in sports. Read the article, Obama made the list because of how influential his opinion is, whether its on college football playoffs or march madness brackets. Whenever he talks sports, it makes the news.

Obama is 44th and Michael Jordan came in 50th?????? Well Sports Illustrated used to have an enormous number of subscribers at one time and now it's a small fraction of that number. Since their decision to put Obama on the list makes no sense at all, I would have to say it's an attempt to create controversy and get their name in the media more than once a year (the other time is when the media announces the swim suit issue is out).

You're probably not going to be too thrilled with Obama's latest project then... Pretty soon, we're all going to get our first glimpse of the gold plated, 70:1 scale Obama statue. As a symbol of the carnage he has unleashed on our personal liberties and freedom, he will tower over the statue of liberty, casting a dark shadow over everything she once represented. Chin pointed high, visitors to the site will be awestricken as they feel the arrogance cut deep into their hearts and souls. And when you're done taking in this glorious site, don't forget to step on over to the many government handout and freebie stations below. Plenty of Obamaphone applications and free copies of the Communist Manifesto for everyone, all complements of the wealthy, which Obama supporters ironically loathe so much.

With the left attempting to shove Obama in our face at every turn, he could break wind and it would make the front page. I wish they would keep their messiah to themselves.

You said, it's a list of people that are actually involved in sports...not presidents that mention sports some times. Everything the presidents says publicly makes the news. Back in the day when SI had a huge following of sports fans, they would have tried to legitimize a stunt like this...no one would have taken them serious. In spite of the fact that the media made fun of him for falling one time, Gerald Ford was said to be one of the most athletic presidents ever. George W actually was part owner of one Texas major league baseball teams (I think the Rangers) but, I couldn't imagine either one of them being on that list...they don't belong on it and neither does Obama. Then again, with the Internet and ESPN how many sports fans take seriously any more.

Having comrade obama on the list is an insult to every true athletic who ever played sports. That effeminate little gay boy couldn't make it on any girls team, let alone a man's team. He is a cruel, evil joke that just won't go away..

Obama , the sweetheart of the left .. there are very powerful forces supporting Obama.. his ideology is warped making him an easy way to lead this country into communism , starting with socialism... a big power grab.. Obama the puppet who is wide opened because of his excessive baggage and his radical beliefs.. Obama is very left off the charts left. Obama through osmosis will lead this country . His hardest task for Obama will be the Armed forces to gain power. That will be the small steps Obama will take on any of his gains.. his social agendas are easy through the media. The real challenge will be the defense department and disarming the American people because the people will speak out.

Me thinks that Conservatives are jealous that their political heros never amounted to anything and certainly never made any list other than the worst.
