I find that problematic. There is no need and at the same time less and less justification to be pro-Israel. That, however, does not imply being anti-Semitic. After all, Semitic does not mean bullying other people etc. It just means a bunch of ethnic groups kind of belonging together based mostly on their languages.

Sure, but you cannot go by a literal understanding of the word. You know as well as I do how it is used and what meaning is attached to it.

Assuming you have German roots or are German, you know very well about the collective guilt. And in the framework of that guilt, not supporting Israel automatically (and quickly) translates into anti-semitism. The two are very closely tied together for most people.

"It was just the nazi's" is a laughable defense given the history of anti-judaism throughout Europe.

Can we claim there is no racism in the USA once the old klans members die off since it's peak was even older than the Nazi party?

It's a good think parents can't possibly pass some of their thoughts or habits onto their kids either?
There is a huge difference. With the KKK it is racism, but not so with supposed anti-Semitism as Semites are whites as well. So anti-Semitism is merely a cultural thing, while racism is innate to a certain extent.

I don't believe in collective guilt. Although being German, I am more innocent than most Israelis of my age are

Yes, unfortunately many people make that mistake to confuse being anti-Israel with being anti-Judaism. And with many people it is not even a mistake, but a deliberate confusion...

It should also be noted that there are more and more Jews in the US and Europe and even in Israel who are themselves against Israel the way it is and behaves today. Are they anti-Semitic as well?

Which goes to show what a nonsense the term anti-Semitic is. The vast majority of Semites are not Jewish...

Yes, of course, anti-Judaic or something like that...

Some time ago I read an interesting article which said that genetically most Jews are actually of Kurdish origin. So they would only be cultural Semites, not even as Semitic as Arabs are genetically.
