Good for the old guy. Guess this old guy, was not going to take any crap, from anyone. Yes he had guts, i too thought this was an older story, but again, good for him.
Looked like he was using a .380 (common for that size of pistol). It is nice little pea shooter, though it shows how such a weapon can be lacking when you really need to stop someone. If he fired a .40, .45 ACP the guy wouldn't be getting up. Safer that way as if the criminal had any sort of determination, he would have shot back.
A good shooting is when the criminal doesn't get up... ever.
