I am still surprised to hear there supposedly is a "hunger problem" in the United States. I found info on this website:

U.S. Hunger - Bread for the World: Have Faith. End Hunger.

Also, I though with all the welfare benefits (such as food stamps, Earned Income Credit, etc) such a problem would not exist. Question is just much of real problem is there?

Not a hunger problem, but the poor don't have their priorities straight. Stop having kids until you can afford them. Stop smoking. You really don't need cable. Nothing wrong with used cars. Eating out is expensive. For many, drugs. The list goes on.

I bet I can get most of the poor on the right track if they were actually willing to listen. Sadly, they dont, they actually accepted this life style.

I feel bad for these kids.

Capitalism is the only thing that can solve long term hunger.

Nope. There's no hunger or poverty in the USA. None.

Our current system doesn't cover everyone who can't afford food so of course we still have a hunger problem.
