I have a 17 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. Neither of them are fat. If either were fat, I would put them on a diet. My guess is that you don't have any kids.

I'm sorry but a loving parent doesn't let their kid become fat. I see a bunch of Americans with fat kids, and it's sad because it's really the parent's fault.

A fat child should be ashamed to be fat. Shame motivates change. Shame is what controls people behaviors in social groups. People with no shame are the worst behaved.

I have no problem with the assignment, although as another poster stated, any number of three letter words could have been used instead.
I meant to convey that the population of the particular school district is somewhat liberal, which seems to explain the mothers "outrage".
