And there is no need to protect a fat child from being called fat. I think it's a good thing to remind people with destructive lifestyles that they're destroying themselves.

There is plenty of need to proceed with caution with children, especially five year olds. You obviously have no kids and zero experience with kids.

I have a 17 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. Neither of them are fat. If either were fat, I would put them on a diet. My guess is that you don't have any kids.

I have two daughters and I am a pediatric nurse. You may be a parent, but you don't know squat about child development.

I'm sorry but a loving parent doesn't let their kid become fat. I see a bunch of Americans with fat kids, and it's sad because it's really the parent's fault.

A fat kid should not be spared of the truth. If the parent is too lazy maybe she or he needs to be motivated to do something.

I'm not arguing with you, as you do not know what you're talking about.

Americans think they know how to raise kids, but in the end they raised the fattest nation on earth. Good job "knowing" what you're talking about.

A fat child should be ashamed to be fat. Shame motivates change. Shame is what controls people behaviors in social groups. People with no shame are the worst behaved.

I have no problem with the assignment, although as another poster stated, any number of three letter words could have been used instead.

How about gun?
