Where I will be moving in North Jersey, everything is closed on Sundays except restaurants.
Garden State Plaza Mall, Bergen Town Center, Paramus Park mall, Shops at Riverside - take a look at their website, closed on Sundays

I don't think Good Friday was ever a national holiday. I can't find anything yea or nay. The stock market, which can always think of a reason to close, is closed on Good Friday.

Is Good Friday A Federal Holiday? Bank, Post Office, Mail Disruptions?

President's Day was established in 1971.
