A Florida high school student wrestled a loaded gun away from another teen on the bus ride home this week and was slapped with a suspension in return.

The 16-year-old Cypress Lake High student in Fort Myers, Fla. told WFTX-TV there was “no doubt” he saved a life after grappling for the loaded .22 caliber revolver being aimed point-blank at another student on Tuesday.
Teen arrested for carrying gun on Cypress Lake HS bus - WFTX-TV Fort Myers/Naples, FL

Sometime between 5:30-6:00 p.m., when the student was about to leave the bus, he spotted the suspect holding the dark colored gun on his lap.
"Are you going to shoot me?," he asked, according to the report.
The teen struck the suspect in the head and other students wrestled the gun away.

One parent says the students who helped disarm the suspect have been suspended. The school won't comment on that.

I'm sure it will all come out in the wash.

"The student says he wrestled the .22 caliber RG-14 Revolver away from the suspect, a football player, who witnesses say threatened to shoot a teammate because he had been arguing with his friend.

According to the mother, the school suspended her son because he refused to cooperate in the investigation. She says he was scared.

Despite the fact the suspect pointed a load gun at another student and threatened to shoot authorities charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon "without intent" to kill."

That's messed up. I wonder why the kid refused to cooperate. It's pretty standard to be suspended when you are involved in any kind of fight, but this doesn't make sense. I'm also wondering why the football player isn't getting charged with intent to kill when he specifically threatened to shoot.

Sounds like he got suspended for not cooperating, though that is vague so i am sure there is more to it than that.

Sounds like the student was suspended by gun grabbers because they wanted a mass shooting to push their agenda. That is what you get for bucking the system in today's backwards world where the kid should be hailed as a hero. Instead he's punished. He should have blown a whistle or called 911 according to the idiots.

The liberals don't want students to defend their schools.

They prefer that the kids huddle under desks, let the shooter kill 13-20 of them, and wait for the cops to arrive 15 minutes later with body bags and to clean up all the blood.

Why aren't the parents of these suspended kids showing up to the doorsteps of these school admins and having a little chat with them?
