Congress... 535 reasons to support term limits with NO benefits and NO grandfathering tenure. Washington would be proud. George that is.

Are you guys aware of this?

I remember hearing about maybe a few years ago, but it's not surprising. After it is centrally located in a part of the country that tried to leave the United States before...

Not entirely a bad idea, not sure a goood one. Congress is certainly out of control, not to mention judges legislating from the bench.

He only commented because you didn't talk about how amazing California is. If your satire had been directed the other direction, he would have applauded you. Good post, by the way.

I agree that some of our freedoms have disappeared, but claiming that the US is no longer a god centered nation? It never was. Many of the Founders were Deists, not evangelical Christians. Washington, Jefferson and Voltaire (French Deist/philosopher) used to hang out a lot. I don't think that creating a theocratic government would be very constitutional.

Good luck with that. Assuming that California was able to secede, peacefully, there is absolutely no way you'd be able to take Alaska. There would be war, and California would be annihilated. Alaska has too many resources. You wouldn't be allowed to have Washington, either. There is no way the US would give up it's entire Pacific border. Oregon might be a possibility, depending on how much of the federal debt you'd be willing to assume (perhaps all of it).

Sorry, but there's no way California will be able to secede because they're too weak. When push comes to shove, California will lay down.

Not true at all, I could care less if you have anything bad to say about this state. I thought the poster should at least add something else, besides just insults and non-original humor.

Of course neither of us can prove our claims, since we can't go back in time. However, your post is not persuasive, at all. In my mind, you're still a blind, arrogant Californian.

Hey thanks for the personal attack. I am just bringing the topic up for discussion, I don't need to persuade anyone.
