I do not know how you went to HI for $2000 for 14 days. The last time our family of 4 went, we figured it was about $1000/day. (That included the airfare from Denver.)

IIRC, private donors paid for most of the inauguration expenses. This is certainly google-able.
I don't know what you mean, went to HI...?

I used to go to a very secluded island in the Bahamas, and rent a cottage there...for $80.00 a day...it was a none touresty island, and the cottage was very clean, ocean front, but very practicle, not plush at all. I went by myself...no one else was with me...lived in shorts, ate 1 meal a day out and cooked breakfast in...didn't cost anything to tour the island...there wasn't much, just history and a few places to stop....and sight see...and, that was 11 years ago, so prices have doubled and the island is now known by many, so prices have gone up because of that.

You were making a comparison to a Hawaiian vacation, so I assumed when you said "islands" you meant the Hawaiian Islands.

I think a few people need to read the threads about "wealth inequality" and "wealth redistribution" and "making the RICH pay more".
Oh, wait, the obamas are exempt from all that. Silly of me to not realize that.

Zero example in whats called moderation...people who want to be big shots will do anything to get there, the path is secondary.

He's at narcissist at minimum so I'm not sure why everyone is so surprised. Europe lost their love affair with him a long time ago.

I'm serious, I watched "The Company Men" last night for the first time, a real eye opener.
It's with Tommy Lee Jones, Ben Afflack, and that actor that played the Coach...Chris Cooper and
Kevin Costner

Wow....and so true....so sadly true
