This claim seems to defy all logic.

I'm sure the logic of that won't prevent the typical bunch of snarky non-answers from the ''usual suspects'' (aka, RWNJ's)...

Because the more you squeeze jello, the more slips through your fingers. The rich are smarter than the poor, and usually smarter than the politicians and bureaucrats. They figure out how to avoid or make use of the laws and taxes that are meant to steal their wealth.

No, but apparently "RWNJ" has already been thrown out.

I guess that's different, though?

Because the Democratic party doesn't have a problem with the rich getting richer.

It was once written that if you gave the wealth of the top 1% to the bottom 99% that within 5 years they would have earned it all back.

Define poor, then. They have roofs over their heads, better cell phones that a lot of Americans, unlimited money for food, medical is paid for, as well as their education.

How is it that they're now poorer?

Because the definition of poor has expanded. Being "poor" has less meaning compared to the past. Only 2% of the "poor" are actually homeless.

"In America, about 80 percent of poor families have air conditioning, nearly two-thirds have cable or satellite TV, half have a computer and a third have a wide-screen LCD or plasma TV."
