They have fear and fear breeds ignorance.
These are the same people who refer to faux news and the lies of the right, while parroting the fairy-tales they've been fed by the propaganda machine on the left. Hypocrisy is rampant, and common sense seems to be lost on them. Taxed Enough just doesn't fit their illusion.

There are very few, that were not part of the original TEA Party, that know what the TEA party really is when we got that label in 2006.

Libertarian is VERY different from Liberal. About the only thing they share is lower defense spending and being socially liberal.

Libertarian does NOT equal Tea Party. The TP is just a wing of the GOP that shares some Libertarian views. They are libertarian LEANING. Not Libertarian.

The Tea Party is to Republicans what the Blue Dog Coalition is to Democrats.

A c/p from another thread,

Libertarians have their own party.

Libertarian Party | Maximum Freedom, Minimum Government
The TP is nothing close to Libertarian. They are more like facists than Libertarian.

Do not listen to Michelle Bachmann

Before anyone joins these groups you should watch this Australian documentary.

The Billionaires' Tea Party (Full Length Documentary) - YouTube

Libertarians want to abolish all parts of our government, from the EPA to public libraries (but they don't understand that their dreams were created by CEO's, who only want the IRS and EPA to stop bothering large corporations.)

Tea Party members believe that democrats want to turn America into communists, while they believe all the lies told to them by Fox news.

All of you should watch the above documentary, so you can stop being uneducated and unknowing followers, of a group of greedy American CEO's who fund Fox news and libertarian think tanks.
You do not understand Libertarianism. They are far from the facist billionaires who comingle with the Tea party.

The label Libertarian doesn't mean anything in the US. Recently a Libertarian stated that he supported dictators killing opponents if they are socialists.

Libertarians = anti war pot smoking Republicans, nothing more

"Libertarians" much like "True Conservatives" are just like the Loch Ness Monster. People claim they exists, but I've never met one, and if I did I'm sure they'd hit me up for tree-fiddy.

You are more likely to find a Leprechaun with a bag of gold than a true Libertarian. Happy St. Pats!!

Social issue encompass a lot of what most people would call "politics" so it is not right to say the "ONLY thing they agree on is social issues as if that is a small grouping.

Also, the Tea Party is NOT to the Republican Party what blue dogs are Democrats. Blue dogs are the moderate wing of the Democratic party. the Tea Party are the extremist wing of the republican party.

If anything, the Tea Party are like the Progressives of the Democratic Party, but even that is not accurate enough.

and no,the Tea Party is not Libertarian leaning. I have a couple of friends that actually have an (L) next to their name who dont also claim to be R's and none of them consider the T party to be Libertarian leaning
