I'm trying to remember where I saw it but from what I understand, doctors don't have to try to resuscitate "fetuses" that are born alive after failed abortions. That's what I was getting at with my previous post but didn't fully explain it, which is why I said it was probably legal.
That is messed up. What I don't get is that the fetuses were like 7 or 8 months old & were born alive. So, the women didn't go to the clinic for abortions, did they? I'm guessing they went to this clinic to have their baby that was premature & he ended up killing them. But how would he have gotten away w/that, wouldn't the mothers want to see the baby? I just don't get it.

They went for late term abortions, he was just lazy and gave them drugs to force labor. While a more 'professional' doctor would kill the baby inside the womb, he killed them outside the womb. That's how silly this whole abortion debate really is.
The people here decrying what he did would have no problem if he killed the baby inside the womb.

oh please with your faux outrage. any abortion performed after what the law says is illegal. No matter what.
It's still a fetus if it is within the mother's womb. He would still be responsible for the death of a fetus, if it was intentional or as a result of an accident (many states have fetal homicide/murder laws in the books). What you ignore is that these fetal homicide/murder laws also designate exactly when the act can be considered murder/homicide.
From the article, it sounds like this "doctor" (he wasn't certified) enjoyed collecting and seeing dead babies, and saving their body parts. The root of this is that this man is truly a disgusting and disturbed man, and it went beyond the "abortion" issue. He just found a way to feed his sick hobby.
But..but..but..abortion is LEGAL...and SAFE...and.........................
Never mind.
It actually is, done by reputable, licensed and certifedOB/GYN's.
this guy wasn't an OB/GYN nor board certified and it seems that the STATE is partly responsible for letting this guy continue his office of horrors.
Quote:
A grand jury investigation determined that health and licensing officials had received repeated reports about Gosnell's practices for two decades, but had taken no action, Williams said.
so, this guy was repeatedly reported but the State did nothing to stop it.

I think that is a Chicago thing and obama voted on as a senator. I dont know if it is a across the board "law" for everywhere in the USA
Abortions use to be done in back room dirty places who knows how many women died because of it.
It would appear those days of abortions being done in filthy offices and women dying haven't gone away even 40 years after RvW.
