As in everything this is going to take time to see an impact. There will be more people affected by food poisons and other diseases that can slip through into the food people eat. Last year the USDA condemned the carcasses of 60,174 head of livestock, and more than 7.7 million carcasses of poultry, food that did not making it to supermarket and you dinner table. With fewer inspectors more contaminated food will slip through and will result in more food related illness. The outrage will come in time.
The same is true for the FAA, since they can not maintain the National Airspace System with there current budget restrictions, they will shrink the amount of sky they have to control. Only the major airports will adequately staffed / supported. Smaller airports will be shut down and as safety equipment in these areas break they will not be fixed. In time this will lead to planes fly farther apart to keep them safe and airport handling less traffic. The FAA was on track to implement GPS tracking of planes which would have led to allowing better tracking of planes, more planes in the air and airports being able to handle more departures and takeoffs. It will end up being less, a lot less in a few years as congress continues to cut it's budget.
Just because you don't see an immediate impact, doesn't mean there isn't one. Try not changing your car's oil every 5,000 miles, sure you will save money on those bothersome oil changes, but eventually your engine will seize up.
