You called their bluff.

Well, they are laying off, offshoring and outright moving.
Now what are you going to do ?
I'm calling BS on this. Corporations have been moving their crap overseas for how long? I know we have a call center in India thats been there a long time.

Doesn't have jack to do with anyone 'calling their bluff' - as much as you would like it to.

Liberals think they can pass any law they want and it will somehow magically not effect the

There is a problem with lack of demand due to American consumers being over leveraged while corporations have done a good job of cutting costs and improving efficiency. The problem is the only jobs they add are over seas.

And why do you care if a job goes overseas? Do you want Chinese folks to starve? They got the right to make a living too.

Contrary to poular belief there is no such thing as an "American job". It doesn't exist. The fact that the same job can be performed elsewhere proves this. Nor is there any obligation, legal or moral, for a company to hire an American.

And I'll let you in on a little secret. The average manufacturing comapny in the United States budgets 7-10% of their money for employee compensation. 50% of the budget goes to taxes and government regulation. So why are they really moving to other countries.
Why don't we all just offer to become slaves for them, and that would solve the constant problem of having to cater to corporations? It is, after all, what they want.

Since 1776.

Just like companies have moved from other countries to the U.S. since 1776. But that's okay I guess.

Let the kid in China starve. Mine got food. **** the slant eyes.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to set up a business in China? It's a communist country for God's sake. And those CEOs would have to change their citizenship, not an easy task, and somehow make it all work, starting from the ground up, in another country. Oh, and the Laissez fair nations, like Haiti, Somalia, etc are all very corrupt and said CEOs would end up having to pay enormous bribes.

Contrary to popular belief, pointing a gun to someone's head and telling them to "hand it over" does work. If you put the gun of taxes against a corporation's head and tell them "jobs or you get it" then guess what? We get the jobs. It is called the international language:FORCE

Yes, they should lower taxes on companies, but only if THEY KEEP JOBS IN AMERICA. Otherwise, let them have it. Oh, and they are moving because in places like China they can use slaves in a sweatshop, working long hours in prison factories with framed photos of Mao and Steve Jobs on the walls.

What is does do is ensure that public sector jobs get cut. So all the outsourced employees will have even more people to compete with. And small businesses will have even fewer customers.

The only people working for the "job creators" these days are their lobbyists.

Well it's not as hard as you make it out to be and they are setting up R&D labs no less.

U.S. Loses Out as R&D Shifts to Asia - WSJ.com
The U.S. is rapidly losing high-technology jobs as American companies expand their research-and-development labs in China and elsewhere in Asia, the National Science Board said Tuesday.

3M is expanding labs overseas "in preparation for a world where the West is no longer the dominant manufacturing power," Chief Executive George Buckley told investors last year. "Given the moribund interest in science in the U.S., this is strategically very important."

To a large extent, companies are setting up labs where engineering and scientific talent is becoming concentrated. About 56% of the world's engineering degrees awarded in 2008 were in Asia, compared with 4% in the U.S., the report said. Moreover, a large portion of engineering students in the U.S. are foreigners; 57% of U.S. doctoral degrees in engineering in 2009 went to foreigners, mostly from East Asia or India.

Caterpillar this month announced plans to expand a Wuxi, China, R&D center that opened two years ago and now has more than 500 engineers and support staff. The expansion will add research capabilities in engines, fuels and hydraulics, among other areas. The center is near Caterpillar factories making engines, parts and construction machinery.
