Back in the days of his birth the U.S/Canadian border was highly porous lol... heck there might be even more Canadian born Presidents
According to what I have read about Arthur, this "born in Canada" thing was something cooked up by his detractors, just like with Obama! There is little doubt he was born in the US.

Correct. It's a figment of the imaginations of mouth breathing knuckle draggers only.

Then again, you have Marco Rubio. He was born in Miami, FL, to two Cuban Citizens.

I guess this poor Marco would be better classified as an Anchor Baby, which is a sub-section in all Birther threads

I never alluded that he was. I was showing an example to counter the poster I was responding to.

The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term “natural born citizen” to any other category than “those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof”.

The graphic above demonstrates the distinction between Ronald Reagan, a "natural born" citizen and Barack Obama, a "native-born" citizen."

Little doubt by whom? Anyway I could care less either way but from what i've looked at they have poor records back then and zero proof of birth. Arthur had extensive family roots on both sides of a very porous border. The possiblity is there!

Obama has a much stronger claim to being American than Arthur did!
