That's right. The libs are bragging that unemployment is now back to where it was during the Bush Admin.

The number of people 65 or older grew by 15% between 2000 and 2010. Begining in 2011, 10,000 turn 65 each day and will continue to do so for the next 20 years.

People 50 or older represent the largest growth in Disability and Medicaid.
About half will depend entirely on Social Security for income supplimented by SNAP benefits.
Seniors are the largest users of Section 8 vouchers.
And then there is Medicare.....
How many former jobs will be lost to attrition is anyone's guess.

The "how will we replace retiring baby boomers?" issue was around well before the recession meaning the labor force drop off was going to occur recession or not. The recession just hits those not at retirement age as well.

Well at least Obama has them happy to hear about low paying jobs again. :-) Lets all cheer because now employers can continue paying low wages because Obama managed to make his cult happy about low paying jobs again.

I have to admit.... good job Obama. Good that I can keep my pay rates down and the Obama cult will be happy about it too lol.

I love the way Obobo supporters make these weak attempts to limit the discussion.
More people just happen to be dying and retiring at the greatest rate since 1981. This is pure coincidence of course.

From the link in the OP:

Quote:
The participation rate, which indicates the share of working-age people in the labor force, dropped to 63.5 percent, matching the lowest since September 1981, from 63.6 percent.

You do know that low mortgage rates mean the economy is weak- don't you? When the economy is weak rates are lowered to stimulate growth and when the economy is strong rates are raised to contain inflation.

So what has Obama done to rally the market? What did the Republicans do to destroy the economy? Exactly which policies are you talking about there? Why did they destroy the economy? When were they enacted? Who controlled Congress at those times? You can answer those questions- right?
