So let's just deflect to something else and leave this nasty breitbart business behind, eh?
Scalia said that the Voting Rights Act is a perpetuation of "racial entitlement" - so in his right-wing mind the Act always has represented this voting "entitlement"
rather than an attempt to address anti-democratic bad behavior. by certain governments Typical rightist mindset.
The point of contention is Section Five, which cites a combination of history and recent bad behavior to designate certain states and jurisdictions as having to get pre-clearance from the Department of Justice or a federal court before they can abruptly change voting hours, redraw districts, or change their voter-I.D. laws. Most of the states are in the South where these tactics were used to favor republicans.
The reason you were punked on Krugman is because you consider breitbart a news source and can't wait to jump on any tidbit they offer up - such is the desperation of the fading right wing.
