Krugman: We "Brought The Budget Under Control And Nobody Noticed" | RealClearPolitics

I want some of what he's smoking. Isn't this a reiteration of Cheney's "deficts don't matter" that libs lampooned? A defict of $845 billion amounts to about $11K per taxpayer, and the debt per taxpayer is already over $200K. Even lib Bob Woodward says that DC has a "spending addiction." Krugman has lost his 'conscience of a liberal' if he ever had one.

What do the grandkids think? Is it hunky dory to pile all this debt on them?

Well the more you spend the faster the economy grows. If you spend money on something, then the person who made that something hires another person, then they spend money, etc. Eventually the economy grows and starts producing tons of money which you can tax and then pay off all the debt you built up with your spending.

That's how you spend money to make money, spend your way out of debt, etc. It'd be a great theory if only it worked in reality.

Haha..it is listening to the jackasses down at the local bar.

Einstein? Bohr? Feynman? Those guys are just educated idiots. I figured all that stuff out myself, with a little something called a library card, and a bit of duct tape.

Paul Krugman: ", we have already basically brought the budget under control and nobody noticed."

What budget?

The Senate Democrats haven't passed one in nearly four years.

What planet is Krugman on?

Krugman tries to put a smiley face on really bad economic news and said we have n't recovered and are propping up the economy with 450b plus a year in debt. But if we were in recovery ..........

Krugman is nothing but a far left hack, and a moron at that. He needs to pack his things and move to China

Most liberals do not care.

Obama can be hypocritical on finances because he may receive no blame for anything.

Krugman can flip flop over the years on finances because he conveniently changed his views on debt in a way that supports the Democrats plans at various times. This absolves Obama, always the most important motive.

Liberals would only care if a Republican was in the Oval Office. The it would be the BIGGEST issue to ever face this country. Krugman = fool.
