Given what we know thus far, nothing in the article supports anything you said about the friends being aware it was a stolen vehicle. It is only your opinion that the friends were aware.

Perhaps if you knew what you were talking about my feelings might be hurt.

Too funny, I get lambasted as having no analytical skills by people who must be illiterate as well as having no critical thinking skills.

See bold - I am not asserting they are guilty of actively participating in a felony, I am correcting someone who did assert that the 'worst thing they did was get into a car' (to paraphrase). Neither of us know if the worst thing they did was actively participate in a felony crime, but while acknowledge this, the other denies it is possible.
So no, I am not denying anyone the presumption of innocence, I am only acknowledging they may be active participants in a crime.
Seems pretty reasonable. Don't want to die? Don't fu*king take stuff that doesn't belong to you. Simple concept. As others said, glad no innocents were hurt. Sorry the vehicle owner's car was destroyed.
Reasonable for fascists. Thieves should be punished, but death is too extreme.
If you make a series of dumb decisions, you deserve the consequences.
Maybe you don't believe in the idea of personal responsibility.
Look, not making excused for bad choices... but don't you think it's a little off the deep end to be flippant about death for a bunch of joyriding kids? You act like you've been perfect your whole life.
Was what they did wrong? Yes. Very.
Did they deserve what happened? No. Of course not.
Not sure how old you are, but maybe you will have a kid one day who does something dumb - as they often do. And when that happens, will you sit back and say, "serves you right, you deserve to die?"
Kids do dumb things. That doesn't mean that they should all just offhand be condemned to death. They can be held accountable, come to realize the error of their ways, grow up, and make something of themselves.

...
I'm not lambasting you for anything.
