Churches have extorted money from the poor and the masses for centuries. Oddly enough, we rarely hear anyone complain about that bit of history.

Sounds like something the environazis want to do. And, how does this have any bearing on today? This is ridiculous logic

There's a lesson behind her words- she's saying that people who resort to stealing small amounts of money are the truly desperate folk who need help.

Most Americans are struggling now but how desperate do you have to be to stand in a soup or bread line? Many of us would be too embarrassed to be seen on a bread line. So to steal five bucks from a nun I would say that person has reached close to rock bottom.

I wonder if this nun supported Obama and the policies that made this guy so poor in the first place.

Chances are, the guy needed that money to buy meth, nothing is being done about the meth problem.

How can you even think that kind of stuff? Americans are the most drug addicted people on the planet -- many billions of dollars are being spent just to get high. The richest people in the world now are behind drug trafficking -- here is no shortage at all of heroin, meth, pot, cocaine and other drugs being shipped over which will quickly be bought up.

I'm surprised with the sky high addiction rates that poverty isn't higher. I think the ease of getting food stamps makes it all possible, no one has to worry about drug testing by employers, they can skip getting a job and instead be given disability checks to spend on their drug habits.

No one needs $6 to eat -- all you need is a $1 to order from the value menus at McDonalds or Burger King.
