The stupidity and far reaching non sense of the left continues.

Firstly, there's nothing wrong with taking into account if someone is unemployed or how long they've been unemployed. Secondly, how the hell can you prove it that's the reason and how does an employer prove its for something else?!?!

If they don't want to hire you, for whatever reason, deal with it. They could just have an off putting feeling about someone and that should be allowed as a valid enough reason.

More ruled, more regs. They never stop coming. The far reaching left just won't stop

seems like a good idea to me, because how can you reduce unemployment if u refuse to hire the unemployed?

Not necessarily.

Most large employers require you to fill out an online application. The application software can easily be coded to auto-reject the currently unemployed. The litigation discovery process would reveal the presence of such software.

Also, some employers have specifically told employers not to hire the unemployed.

BS law to make people think they actually have any power.

Like we need more asinine, useless laws.
Amen, and NY liberal saps will fall for the koolaid, thinking their legislature truly accomplished something.

A very good response to Spaten_Drinker's post for several reasons.

First, many employers use highly subjective and arbitrary selection criteria to hire employees. This often means less qualified employees are hired before more qualified employees. Similarly, many hiring managers focus on "cultural fit" when hiring (ie: which applicant they would most like to have a beer with).

And, in many fields, there are many more job seekers than positions available.

And, many areas have very high unemployment. So, if you have an underwater mortgage, you will find it very difficult to pick up and leave to a lower unemployment region.
