Let me start by saying I vote 3rd party.

I also hold the following beliefs:
-Gun free zone signs make me laugh
-Concealed carry is okay with me
-AR's and semi AR's are also okay with me
-Every school should have an armed guard, or more than 1. I don't care how much it costs
-Mental crazies shouldn't have access to a firearm. Sure, they might still get one, but we should try to at least make it harder

Are these reasonable?

Do conservatives have any solutions to gun violence, or do they chalk it up as "well, **** happens"

Given that 40% of the country identifies as conservative, your portrayal is off as I pointed out in your other thread.

Here you are again.. The STATES F'd up the data sharing by not doing what the law said they had to do to get the funding. Go complain to them.

Thanks for the link.

Does not answer my question though.

I refuse to believe L's and C's can't come to common ground on this issue. No one wants shootings.

It does answer your question. There's obviously a very large overlap, unless this country actually has 130% of the people that it has.

The portion of conservatives that do not want background checks is most likely smaller than the portion of lefties that want a complete gun ban. In other words, the fringe.

Agree.

Though both parties are pro war, so we're screwed there.

I did. That was certainly more important to point out than the point I suppose.

9 out of 10 Americans then support something that won't work per the DOJ
http://www.nraila.org/media/10883516...olicy-memo.pdf

And Canada tried to require registration, which would be required for UBC to work, and it was an utter failure. It is estimated Canada has less than 10 million guns and 34 million people. How would it work in USA with 270 million guns and 300 million people? That's right, it won't work.
