Is that so? There's a whole thread here dedicated to the senator that changed his mind to support gay rights? How does that fit with your bashing?
Changing one's mind is good, if new evidence persuades one to rethink previous positions. That doesn't mean that giving opposite speeches to different crowds, like Romney did, is a virtue.

But it is clear, you want to believe what you want to believe. In your universe a speech by Mr. Obama about the ills of debt, made in July 2008, before the extent of the economic downturn was known, means that once he was elected he had to force debt reduction even though that would have meant throwing the nation into a depression. Because we really can't adjust our policies to meet the crisis of the day, or else people like you will call him a hypocrite.

This is the reality of the situation that President Obama inherited.

The budget deficits are shrinking, the economy is slowly improving, job growth is slowly improving.

If Obama hand been handed a budget surplus and then still managed to blow it on unfunded wars and needless tax cuts (instead of paying down the debt), then all dems would be on his case as well

Instead Obama was handed a collapsing economy and had to inject stimulus to revive it.
