Tyranny has been established in several cities in Michigan, Benton Harbor, Flint, Detroit, and others. We're always hearing about how the reason we have the right to bear arms is so that we can use them to fight tyranny. Indeed it has sometimes been advocated by those on the right that the "second amendment solution" be employed if they lose the elections. The people of Benton Harbor and Flint and Detriot and a few other cities didn't just lose an election, they have had tyranny imposed upon them. So would they be justified in getting out their guns or does the right to defend yourself against tyranny only apply to some people

If they are using their guns to subvert the election process, then they are not justified.

In what way is "tyranny" applied to the people of Detroit, Flint or BH? The administrators of these cities have proven themselves incapable of acting like responsible adults and have been unable to manage these cities within the income they receive from the taxpayers. It's sad that the state has to step in and use the state taxpayer's money to bail out the failed policies of these cities and their incompetent and often corrupt officials. They should be charged and prosecuted for the harm they have done.

Please get educated.

Both the US and Michigan Constitutions stipulate that local governments serve at the will and convenience of the state.

Per Michigan law (that was originally created by Democrats) what happened is 100% legal and constitutional.

Are you suggesting that the US and Michigan Constitutions have failed and blood must be spilled?

The True Tyranny is the corrupt local government officials that graft and steal money from communities that are mostly poor and minority... Why are Democrats protecting this corruption? Why are local Democrats in some of these places fighting to keep detailed book recordings of expenditures closed?

How many more decades must pass before the Democrats get serious about helping the poor and minorities that live under severe generational corruption of these local governments that exist at the will and convenience of the state?

Do you have any idea in hell what an emergency manager is and how he got his position??? He is a tyrant and he was NOT elected. The imposition of an emergency manager, more accurately called a tyrant, is what subverted the election process
