Study after study has found that the total cost of a death penalty sentence exceeds that of putting a prisoner away for life. Lot him rot in jail.

He should be released and let the relatives seek out their honor. if they won't seek out their honor they deserve to live with the humiliation.

That's only because of automatic appeals. If he was hanged outside the courtroom, it would be very cheap.

#1 - He is not a kid - the MAN is 18.

#2 - Why the hubbub over the shirt? He is just providing an honest descriptiion of himself..which leads to...

#3 - That is more than can be said for the victim's mother who incorrectly describes him as a "monster". Wrong - he is a human being and a killer.

#4 - Why make an issue that he could have graduated from high school early? So could a lot of others, including myself(liberals collective brains explode).

James Holmes was a rather bright guy also - are we supposed to start adding good grades as a warning sign that someone might be a shooter?

Spending 23 hours a day in a dog cage sized cell and eating stale bologna sandwiches and kool aid for the rest of your life is probably a fate worse than death. Why didn't the judge order the guards to strip this punk's t shirt off and put him back in his shirt ?

You think he'll be around in 25 years?

He looks like he weights 110 pounds. Wait until he sees what he's up against in his new forever home. He's going to need more than his two fingers and crazy behavior to scare off his soon-to-be boyfriends.

life in prison without parole at 18.

what is the point of paying for him for the next 60 years?
He's already dead. He's about 150 lbs, wimpy looking smirky faced punk. They're going to ride him hard and put him away wet when he gets there.

I've been to prison before. There isn't a whole lot of "male on male" rape as people like to imagine there is.
