Reid said that it could not pass. I don't think anything can pass in the house, Democrats are going to lose a lot of blood for nothing.

The only blood to be spilled is that of another class room of elementary school kids when the next All American Psychokiller decides to use his NRA given rights to get back at society. The only question is who what and where.

Of course, democrats want to get re-elected so they wouldn't push this through and risk having to actually WORK for a living. They'll talk talk talk and get part of their base all frothing and tingly and then not actually do anything. Of course the people who were swooning over the thought of a ban will still vote for them next time around.

How about the next illegal sneaking over the border with the incurable form of TB...How many will they kill?

I imagine you are aware of the fellow from Africa they caught...He was probably more dangerous than an assault weapon....perhaps alot of assault weapons.

Where was the uproar about that?

Few people really need an assault weapon - But the Democrats put about twice as many in peoples hands now, simply by threatening to ban them....without stopping to think first.

And if you are going to ask, who needs one...Living in a remote area certainly makes a good reason for one (in the southwest and mid-west for instance, where no one is around to help you).

And certain hunters have a good reason.

Look up the problem with wild boars in the southwest - for people that live here, farmers, and people that want to hunt them out of existence...for good reason.
