With this idea, we're not going back in time to kidnap a baby Neanderthal.

The question is whats the difference relative to the baby..? Its kidnapping...stealing the rightful, needed and required environment away from the being by force...force-manipulation.

What? No it isn't. We're not going in time, stealing a baby from their family and bringing the baby back here in the present.

What scientists want to do is use the cells of a neanderthal from way back when to either clone or help give birth to a neanderthal baby. It'll be a scientific wonder if it can happen, though strict regulations needs to be in place for this sort of thing to happen.

Sounds like something that would be right up the liberals alley.

The question once again ... whats the difference relative to the baby..? It is aggressive kidnapping....otherwise whats the difference relative to the baby..? ( including all rightful, needed re setting, growth, unimaginable conflicting issues.. 1000's of years and a lone being of one species. Man at the height of outright theft, dramatically robbing from another being... nature itself .

You're basically saying that no existence is preferable to a less than ideal one. I don't think so.

Other species like the Caspian Tiger and dodo bird are only extinct because of human poaching and most certainly can survive in our current world. Why would we not bring them back if we could. Mankind owes it them if anything.

Not sure why it's a liberal or conservative thing. It isn't, so stop trying to paint it that way. All I am saying is that if there were tight regulations on this sort of stuff, then what's the worst that can happen?

To appeal to you, why don't we have a board of conservative folks overseeing the entire project? Would that satisfy your obsessive need to make everything left vs right? Why or why not?
