I oppose censorship. However; When you open your mouth, you run the risk of being ridiculed. So use common sense and choose your words wisely. You know personal accountability, responsibility and all that good stuff. Just my 2 cents.

What does being ridiculed have to do with obscenity laws??

I agree. I think it's a dangerous precedent to try and define what 'speech' entails.

Obscenity laws fall under free speech do they not? In words, you may have the freedom to exercise that right to speak your mind, but others may not agree, and it could cause you a lot of problems. Legal troubles or otherwise.

Porn is subject to state regulation unlike speech which is a right to everyone in the USA. The reason it's everywhere is due to the internet but most of the porn really comes from one place (SFV).
