Mayors Against Illegal Guns - Reporting Lost and Stolen Guns

Maybe you can post from a credible non biased source

Also, with an estimated 250 million guns in america the lose rate is actually really low compared to many other valuable items. For examples, it is estimated that 13% of wedding rings are lost, if guns were lost at the same rate it would be 32 million guns. So I think gun owners do a great job keepin their guns.

why not both

why do the liberals want ''background '' checks for guns...but not residency checks for voting

I like both ideas

background/residency checks for guns and voting

I have no problem with backgound checks....

I'm glad you clarified that for me. So voting and guns are both implements for killing.

Maybe you should look at the death toll of some of the worlds elected politicians.

I'll give you credit for 1 thing, a very wild imagination. Not even close to what I said but, very wild.

Background checks are must IMO. As far as mandatory registration, I don't know. I think the only thing that needs to be done there is for thefts. IMO, the owner of the weapon should be the only one with the SN. If it gets stolen, there should be a law that states it MUST be reported and the SN given to police so they can try and track it down if the SN hasn't been filed off yet.

Not sure if it was in this thread, but I'm all for a free registry of people who have been thrown in jail, this way if you want to sell a gun, you get on this website and see if their name is in it.
