Since so many people on here are against min wage increase to help the poor how about negative income tax?

The only ones receiving negative taxes that I know of are huge corporations. Many of them do indeed have negative federal income taxes, and end up receiving money from the federal government.

The GOP would never allow this for real poor people, only those "people" who are ..ahem..corporations.

Wow... really?!!?? How about a free corvette with that? No? How about lifetime free groceries?? Free gas? What else... hmmm... you know what they all have in common? Money... Let me know when you find free money growing anywhere cause then I would plant myself some as well...

The poor already have a negative income tax. They get back more than they pay in.

Not necessarily. Poor people pay a higher percentage of their income in pay roll, state, and local taxes than do wealthier people.

It's all a percentage.

Anyway, this is about federal income tax, not all the other stuff.
