President Barack Obama’s trip to Israel boosted his image, but for every friend he gained among Jewish Israelis, he appeared to lose one among Palestinians.
TEL AVIV, Israel -- — Across Israel Friday, news stations aired a special live broadcast of President Barack Obama’s last day in the Jewish state with a headline summarizing his visit: “U.S. President wins our hearts and minds.”
Now Israel knows it has a friend in the White House,” said Udi Segel, an Israeli diplomatic analyst for Channel Two Hebrew News. “For any critics that were saying that Obama’s visit was all hugs and smiles and empty words, the phone call showed otherwise.”

The Israelis were burning his picture, had a big red "X" on his picture, and were digging up his tree he planted three hours after he planted it. His approval rating was 10%. He needed to do something. Hoping our relations with Israel will now improve. His approval rating with the Muslim Brotherhood is very high.

Can you attach a link to the "muslim brotherhood approval rating"?

Every President before has had to go thru this American "peace-making" ritual with Israel & the Arabs. And sooner or later Obama had to do his version. I wish him better luck than his predecessors, though the "trend" ain't looking any better than before, especially since now we've essentially given up on enforcing the Oslo agreement on new Israeli settlements.

Bush gave the arabs more than they could have imagined (he had Israel pull out of Gaza, and he put Hezbollah in power), and it did not bring peace. Obama didn't offer them anything. Basically he said that if they recognize Israel as a sovereign nation, then they will negotiate peace, but everyone knows the arabs will never recognize Israel.
Cue some more bitching from the neo-con Zionists about how he hasn't done enough to appease Israel and Netanyahu yet.
