The GOP provides ample opportunity with its daily freak show of Teabaggers, Birfers, and other assorted fruits and nuts constantly pandering to their low information, FOX News watching voting base.

The only time FOX goes after one of its own is when they either try and act sane, or try and act bipartisan. The far bigger picture to FOX is to keep the country divided and fighting amongst ourselves while corporate interests loot the U.S. Treasury.
The bolded is the scariest aspect of Fox "news" People who fall for that nonsense are fools falling for the big money/corporate propaganda. If the Fox watchers would put a fraction of their energy and vitriol they give democrats and the poor toward actually informing themselves, and taking a critical look at what's truly happening in the US government, we might have a chance at actually improving the lives of Americans who earn less than multi millions. Right now they are out there every day spewing beliefs that only lead to corporate control of our once great country. Millions choosing ignorance is tragic.

If everyone who wasn't a multi millionaire actually stood together for a better America instead of fighting each other with nonsensical childhood taunts like "*******" and "wing nut" the government and corporations would be sh*&ting bricks. Fox makes sure there is no chance of that, and huge segments of the population will fight for a corporate controlled US and blame all of our problems on "welfare queens," and never question corporate entitlements and loopholes allowing them to pay little to no taxes and send all of our good paying jobs overseas. Neither political party is truly interested in the average working American, if we stood together we could take the country back.

Fox is #1 because the majority of its non election time viewers are " mature" and spend a lot of time pining for their perception of the good old days, while talking back to the tv.

I once read that the reason for Fox's numbers is that the typical viewer leaves it on all day because they don't know how to use the remote and getting up requires too much energy.
Oh, come on! I'd like to see the source of that study. Probably it was just some stupid liberal blogger claiming that, and it fits right in with your view of conservatives as being old white men.

I have noticed most who drink find their vice just fine, it's legal! Wonder how he sees "potted up on weed" different from "drunk" What's funny is people comparable to Doocy rarely get "potted up."

"potted up" I'll have to remember that one......

Very obvious with the news on closing down two lanes as the front story for days on liberal communist socialist tv because it happened in NJ and Christie governor of NJ may be a candidate for president.. what a stretch..

Here we have Bengazi, the IRS targeting republicans and Obamacare and this laughable bridge story is running full steam on the socialists networks. Gee,, so very obvious how ridiculous they will get because of their bias.

The big difference is that FOX seems to coddle the Republican cause and is thus intertwined with party politics while MSNBC has less loyalty to Democrats than it has to its hardcore liberal/progressive philosophy.

FOX defends Republicans even if it means giving mixed messages and hypocrisy, while MSNBC wll eat its own children if they stray from the progressive platform.

" Democrats" and "liberal/progressive philosophy."are one and the same.

FOX is little more than "tabloid Journalism". You had the incessant search for Natalee Holloway then the focus on Obama's "birth Certificate".
Best thing about FOX was their 'car crashes"

You really should stick to things you know something about. Progressives I know don't even call themselves Democrats but often vote that way because they have no other choice (and vote Green when the option is available), as Democrats are simply Republicans of 30 years ago, and Republicans are just plain completely sold out to corporations and special interests.

There is another word for that: Prostitute.
