The gathering of about 20 people in the elegant family dining room on the first floor of the White House is expected to include first lady Michelle Obama as well as presidential daughters Malia and Sasha.
And of course you said this about the Bush girls, too.......right?
After all, they traveled all over the world with their tax payer paid for Secret Service in tow; on one occasion (at least), one of the girls even sent one of the Secret Service to bail a friend of hers out of jail. His time spent doing that was on the tax payer dime.
I sure wish we could go back in time and see how you all must have been complaining about their trips as well.
Is Bush president right now?? Is he up there at the podium talking about "shared sacrifices"?? Nuff said

No, but while he was sending other parents' children to die in a needless war of choice - one in which he lied to get us into - his own daughters were gallivanting all over the world, with nary a thought of the sacrifices other families were making entering into their empty little heads.
They were too busy trying to score the next fake i.d. than to worry themselves over something as silly as WAR.
Anyway, I don't believe any of you for one minute that this outrage over the Obama girls' spring break plans has anything to do with the sequester or White House tours or anything else - it has to do with who they are.
Aren't the Obamas spending their own money on their daughters' travel? Wouldn't they get SS protection and if the took a spring break trip to the Smithsonian?
That's a big IF pal.
Actually, they were. There are plenty of links already posted about this. Do a search.
Security costs in their home town is FAR less than in a foreign country. But you keep on defending the fact they just can't stop spending money on their personal vacations, while closing places that affect the average citizen.
