The stats dont lie. Certain races and heritages are much more predisposed to violence than others, mostly because of lack of family structure at the core. Instead of attacking that structure in a positive manner to better it and holding your own to account, you cower at the thought and call others racist who post a stat from a credible national organization. It's easier to turn your back and attack law abiding people.
Spot on!

Well, why didn't you mention gangs and broken homes in the first place? Why was race the first thing you brought up? And you wonder why I got so upset. It was the way you presented this. Your first post sounded like "Blacks are violent, avoid them all". You didn't bring up the role of gangs and broken homes in the first place.

If you had intended for this to be about guns in the first place, then you should have brought that up in the first place.

Not really. If said person had intended this to be a discussion on gun laws, then said person should have concentrated on that. Instead, the whole first post was about race, and specifically about Blacks. The title of the thread says it all.

Males also commit ten times more homicides than do females, therefore....?

The problem here isn't the statistics; it's the racist intent, presentation, and interpretation of those statistics.

That is what I have been saying. The statistics were only mentioned as a way of justifying one's prejudice against Blacks.

And not one politician or black leader is doing a thing to address the real problems. They don't really care about the fate of the inner city black youth. You won't see Obama going to an inner city promising any American dream -- he saves all that kind of talk to cheap labor foreigners who are living and working here illegally.

We are all in a prison of our own construction until we find the key that ultimately sets us free.

Most politicians don't care about anyone.

The American Dream is a myth.
