How about you quit being so disinformative! Horizontal gene transfer mostly takes place in bacteria in the plasmid region and is the primary reason why bacteria rapidly develop resistances to various antibiotics. It is not hugely prevalent in eukaryotic organisms (although it is possible) but the mechanism by which it often works is when dead bacteria diarrhea themselves all over the place and live bacteria slurp up the remains. The purpose was originally evolutionary developed for the bacteria to protect against bacteriophages (virus which attack bacteria). You make it sound like eating GMO's is going to somehow cut up our DNA and insert wild vegetable DNA through horizontal gene transfer. You keep quoting the same nonsense but then completely fail in terms of providing a scientific explanation of what you think is going to happen!
If that were the case, our bodies would already be doing it with the fruits and vegetables we already eat. The digestion process does a marvelous job of breaking down the various foodstuffs we eat.

I remember when local farms in the Midwest were rich with pure wholesome produce and dairy products. Food tasted REAL. Now it's Food, Inc., controlling us all. And most of it tastes totally fake, has little nutritional value, and is literally poison disguised as "healthy" food.

Do you know of a good resource or guide to follow for someone trying not to toxin their bodies with GMO crap?
I know that it is nearly impossible to avoid in soy and corn products. Someone once said the UPC codes identify products as GMO but I'm not sure how true that is.
