It's an extremely dangerous proposition. I understand the need to feed the world's population. However, GMO foods open the door to patenting life. What happens when 1 or 2 companies control 99% of the world's supply of staple grains? GMO foods used for huge agribusinesses also destroy our crop diversity and choice of products to choose from (which vastly reduces the array of flavors to choose from). It's playing with fire, you grow only one or two types of crops, what happens when there is a disease that wipes out that variant of crop? We must preserve biodiversity of our food, not only for the sake of our palettes, but also for our own food security.

Most Americans are such moo cows when it comes to food that they will wolf down anything that big business tells them to eat. They already drink abnormal amounts of sugar water and all kinds of artificial, highly industrialized "instant" food-like items.

Pasture apathy. Not exactly contented cows.

But hey, what can you do if you're apathetic, smoke dope and eat more?

I know the source is biased, but it appears to me none of the major news media sources are covering this.

I am not too sure of GMO myself, and I would prefer it to be labeled at least.
Biased against what?...fact?....Monsanto thrives (so far) because people who aren't sure about it just keep on eatin it....All I can say is if a law has to be passed to protect them and push their seeds, that's good enough for me to say no...no way..I'm totally against GMO foods, and believe they are far more destructive than we as yet know.http://naturalsociety.com/obama-sign...eling-in-2007/
