Income inequality continues to rise in the US, indicating that the supposed 'American Dream' in which the idea of class mobility is central is becoming more and more of an illusion. And it's almost certainly worse than you think as the following graph shows:

Do you get paid by the amount of threads you start? You have 6 on the first page, try and spread your talking points out over a couple of weeks.

Indeed as we are have the least amount of social mobility of any developed country in the world. If you're born poor you're more likely to die poor here than in any other 1st world country. Hell, most of the middle east and even some Latin American countries now beat the US on social mobility and this has been a problem going back decades.

Then why does the average american work less hours today than ever in the history of the country?

Work harder, study more and make something of yourself.

That's an old graphic, and it's a legit concern. But what are you proposing? Or are you just fanning the fires...anyone can do that but it contributes little or nothing.

This isn't true...the job vacancy rate skyrocketed when UI was extended to 99 weeks in 2009. Government social programs are greatly hindering job creation. The average american is becoming lazy enough to actually want government help over wanting to work more to improve themselves.

But it deserves repeating. The bottom 90% of Americans have had flat salaries for 40 years! The rich? Their wealth continues to explode and many have the nerve to shelter money overseas.

And protecting the wealthy is priority #1 for the GOP. How stupid does that make the rest of Repubs?
