You mentioned that you are Jewish. Surely you are not following the Torah, when you state that homosexuality is normal activity.

What you're talking about is morality or right vs wrong, and those are incredibly subjective concepts. Even sin is subjective, since my religion probably has different sins than other religions, etc.
Actually, as a society, the notion of right vs wrong is derived from our understanding and interpretation of morality (good deeds vs evil/sin).

Dozens of excuses to ban gay marriage--ALL of the dumb.

It's a blatant civil rights violation, and that shouldn't be tolerated. End of discussion.

The word "homosexual" doesn't even exist in Hebrew, so please tell me where it is banned in the Torah. Not that it matters, since I never claim to follow the Torah 100% - unlike Christians who claim to follow the Bible, when they really just cherry-pick which parts to condemn or allow. I am mostly a cultural Jew, and merely use the Torah as a general guide and historical text.

Btw, I never said it was "normal," because by definition it is not. It is natural, however, and even abnormal behavior should be legal if it's not hurting anyone. It isn't normal to be left handed, but I still think lefties should have equal rights. Don't you?

You and I obviously have different definitions of morality, so no, society does not determine these things for us. Or do you really think only YOUR views are in line with the laws? I would beg to differ on that point.

"Daddy, what are they doing?"

"They're kissing. They're married, just like mommy and daddy."

"Oh."

I think it's time now for one of my favorite quotes on that issue (warning: graphic language):

Who's god? Which god? Don't believe in god, so you might as well say a sin is a sin in the eyes of Santa because your statement holds about that much weight in the world.

Yeah, we've been trying to hammer that home for a while. She thinks Jesus is president or something.

Haha, too funny. I didn't have the time to read through 20 pages that happened in an afternoon. But she might be on to something Jesus/Paul 2016!

No? You must not have ever heard of people like Matthew Shepard. Start there. Matthew Shepard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This was your most non-nonsensical statement of the two especially since right now in the news, the main headline is the repeal of DOMA, which allows for the federal government to deny homosexuals the rights afforded to them in the states that granted them marriages legally.
