No. Its insulting to ME as a black man that someone like you thinks you can draw the line where equality is to stop. Equality is for everyone.

Marriage is NOT a right. Show me where in the constitution that it says anything about marriage.

Says who? The government shouldn't be in the marriage business to begin with, it shouldn't "recognize" anybody's marriage. If people want to go down to their local church, mosque, synagogue and get married fine by me, but it should have nothing to do with the government.

The Supreme Court, which is the only opinion that matters on the subject.

But it DOES have everything to do with the government! Who do you think issues those marriage licenses, the church? I can get legally married down at the county courthouse if I want to. No church needed.

You do realize that something does not have to be explicitly mentioned in the Constitution for it to be a Right?

In fact, the founders were loathe to even put a Bill of Rights in the Constitution because they didn't want some ingrate, 240 years later saying things like, "Show me where in the constitution it says anything about..."

Nope, blacks went through so much more... it wasn't gays tied to fence posts and beaten to death... oh wait, yes it was. Duct tape can't fix stupid but it certainly makes it quieter... I suggest it be used.

Yeah, well ya know what, you go on and try to fight that fight to remove government from marriage. Have at it. That has ZERO to do with the fight for gay marriage, however, and is a completely different issue.

In the meantime, where the government DOES supply something, it must do so equally for its citizens, or restrict only where there's damn good reason to.
