Obama has said many times that he will not let Congress get in the way of changing America.
IMHO he as a very good team of constitutional lawyers to advise him because his EOs stick as they are very astute as to not cross the line of what he can and cannot do.

I think his biggest and best EO was the one allowing the illegals to stay and get jobs and apply for all types of programs/licenses only available to citizens. He didn't change the law at all..just the process of how the law is upheld.
They are still illegals but we won't do anything about them for 2 years and while they are here they can live, work and get legal documents.

So I'll wager that this EO about gun control is not stepping over any lines and changes how the laws are implemented. With the DOJ involved and Congress silent it will stay in force.

And when the american people tell Obama to **** off and ignore any new gun laws, what then? It seems like an awfully needless way to cripple his ability to govern.

The current gun control issue is NOT about terrorism.
