laws that limit the evil that people can do is always good. but laws that limit the freedoms and linerties of the law abiding do nothing but strengthen the government and take away the peoples freedoms.

laws against murder, rape and robbery is always righteous, while laws against firearms that do nothing but limit the freedoms of the already law abiding are nothing but socialist practices.

Sorry, but they are no longer, you can have weapons in your house if you live on post.

Army Updates Weapons Registration Requirements
Department of Army and the Office of the Provost Marshal General have published changes to AR 190-11. Significant changes were made pertaining to registration, storage, and transportation requirements for privately owned weapons on Army installations. A few of the significant changes include:
Persons participating in authorized activities (hunting, skeet, weapons competition, etc) on the installation must register their weapons on the installation. Firearms must be registered in the Centralized Operations Police Suite weapons registration module.
A locally produced registration form must be in the individual’s possession when bringing weapons onto the installation.
]For housing occupants, firearms will be secured in either a locked container or provided with a trigger lock. Ammunition for the firearm will be secured separately from the firearm in a locked container.
Privately owned firearms will be transported in vehicles only while traveling in a direct route to/from hunting areas, target ranges, or other locations authorized by the SC (no stops are authorized).
Person(s) described below are prohibited from registering privately owned firearms on the installation—
Any person convicted of a felony (The Federal Gun Control Act of 1968, as amended in 1996).
Any person convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence

You have to admit those two empty boxes of Winchester could have really posed a threat if they caught on fire.

you were always allowed to have firearms in your own homes, even if that home was on base.

The idea that having a arsenal is a freedom I just don't get. It isn't a freedom most countries recognize. The supreme court's claim that the 2nd amendment gives it to you is dubious, at best. It isn't deontological (i.e. Bible/Koran/etc don't say that its a human right to own weapons).

If you have a right to own an arsnel, than damn it. . .I have an equal right to 100 gigabit internet to my house. I mean seriously.. .

I think its nothing out of the ordinary. But what was wrong is that she let her mentally ill son have access to them. That is what is Bat crap crazy. I don't feel sorry for her, she got what she deserved. Its just sad it did not stop there.
