I don't think Austin has much to worry about. Anchorage maybe. The only thing bombing Alaska would accomplish is the US military wiping the NK military out faster than Iraqs.

Anyone know the actual reasoning behind him tossing Austin TX on such a short list? Is there some target/significance that I'm not aware of?
Ft. Hood is just north of Austin. It is where our First Army Division West; 1st Army Calvary Division, 21st Cavalry Brigade (Air Combat); 4th Combat Aviation Brigade; and the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade is plus 65,000 U.S. Army troops.

I saw on the news night before last that the U.S. was concerned about a new missile that the North Koreans revealed not to long ago. Something that we were unaware of. I'll try to research it.
