The power's that be are only YOUR DOCTOR! No other entity has any say in your treatment timeline or otherwise.

If the procedure is accepted as a valid treatment instead of "peach pit" medicine then you are covered.

If the treatment required is of an immediate nature and the availability of it is at issue, then our Provincial coverage will pay the full shot to have that treatment performed OUT OF COUNTRY!

These statistics are good, but it can't be concluded from them that private health care is necessary for quality health care. For example, in addition to surpassing the United States in breast cancer survival rates, Cuba also ranks higher than the U.S. in colorectal cancer survival rates for both men and women. France ranks higher than the U.S. in colorectal survival rates for women, and Canada has survival rates almost identical to the United States in breast and colorectal cancer. In each of these countries, the government takes on a greater share of health care coverage than does the United States.

Canadians on this board are disagreeing with you.

It takes me 6 months to get a gynecological appointment; and there's a lot of cancer in my family.

The US healthcare system is no. 37 in the developed world.
Try something closer to reality next time.
In Europe?

Aren't most countries relying on American cancer drugs?

Free healthcare, that's ridiculous. How on earth are we supposed to police the world if we're spending tax dollars on providing basic healthcare to our own people; furthermore, Who's going to make any money off of that?

You should know that anecdotal evidence is not evidence. Plus, you ignore the fact that 45,000 Americans die each year due to lack of insurance. More people die in this country due to lack of insurance than due to kidney disease.

Not only do you resort to anecdotal evidence, but you make the same mistake as a prior poster. Simply using waiting times as a metric of quality HC is absurd. While Americans may wait less for a variety of health services compared to their Northern counterparts, they still lag behind other countries in waiting times.

Again, people like to cherrypick data and simply use Canada.

Your own data does not support your claim. Expenditure of selected health care functions by providers of health care, per inhabitant.
Eurostat - Data Explorer

Guess which country leads the world on spending per inhabitant? It is the US.

The data is in. The US spends an overwhelming amount on certain health care services than other countries. Overwhelmingly more.
The International Federation of Health Plans, (iFHP) a network of leading health insurance CEO's from over 25 countries, has released the 2012 Comparative Price Report. This is the fourth annual survey of prices of the cost of specific medical and products and services, compiled from data collected by iFHP member plans.
The study aims to help plans better understand why health care costs are so much higher in some countries than others. The survey data showed that average US prices were once again the highest of those in the countries surveyed for nearly all of the common services and procedures reviewed.

yeah right, now I have to pay for someone elses health care even though it is not my responsibility. wish you liberals were so correct about other peoples civil liberties the same way you are about stealing someone elses money for your pet projects.

Perhaps you don't understand how posting on CD works.
Let me explain: A poster makes a comment in a post; another poster reads is and if/when they comment, the comment goes to the END of the thread.
