No, it doesn't, but for me it is not about color, it is about attitude. I know and work with several blacks from Africa (not sure what country) and their attitude is entirely different from American blacks. It is really strange, because I feel a larger separation from American blacks than African blacks who have no chip on their shoulder. We talk and hardly even realize we are of different colors/races.
That's because they don't who you really are. Your BS will fly with them, not us. We know American whites like the back of our hands.
I've disassociated myself from the "ghetto" subculture. It doesn't stop some people from treating me poorly or stereotyping me. I learned that in high school, and in college. Whenever someone follows you around in a store, treating you like a suspect despite looking like you just came from church, some people are just like that.
You haven't disassociated yourself from them if you rush in to defend them. On some level you view yourself as one of them. Not surprising since most middle class blacks aren't to far removed from the ghetto. Many have family members who fit this profile.

I'm not defending them or their actions. I just simply state facts. I say that alot of these problems have their roots in poor parental units, lack of a father at home, and other issues. I don't defend them or their actions. I've even said that I deplore their actions. When have I said that their actions were justified?

You denunciations of them are no where as strong as they are of me. You implicitly are defending them when you make posts about me or racists instead of the underlying issue.

I denounce the individuals involved. I approach the situation the way Michael Nutter did it. He denounced the individuals. You seem to want to hold the entire Black population responsible for the actions of a few.
I've mentioned many times about the underlying causes, such as lack of a father at home, bad parenting. I haven't even gotten into other factors like peer pressure, and being relatively under-educated. I've mentioned underlying causes.
When I make posts about the way you approach the situation, I do it for a reason. If someone were to come up to me in public and talk to me the way you approached this situation, I would walk away from that person. If Michael Nutter or Bill Cosby were to talk about this, I'm more inclined to engage in a civilized discussion. It is about the way you approach it. The way you approach it makes me question your motives. It makes me wonder if you look down on Black Americans like many other people in this nation.
I've talked to some people. Alot of people I know don't even know about what is going on in Chicago.
